Application Note: use the "Custom Unit" feature on the PGL to Display Density

For some quality control applications it can be a big time saver to display measurements like lb / cu. ft, g / L, or even oz / sq. yd. With the PGL custom unit feature it's easy to do, regardless of the sample size used. Here's an example:

EXAMPLE 1 Let's say you need to display results in lb / ft cubed using a fluid pint container for material samples.

The custom unit conversion factor to enter in the PGL would be 0.132.

EXAMPLE 2 -- Display results in oz / sq. yd. for sheet materials using 3" x 3" samples.

The custom unit conversion factor to enter in the PGL would be 5.079
